What Faraway Means
The destination begins before arrival.
Faraway is not defined only by the number of kilometres between home and the retreat.
It may begin with a ferry crossing, a regional flight, a mountain road, or a final transfer beyond the reach of ordinary transport.
What matters is that movement becomes part of the stay. The weather, the landscape, the waiting, and the changing scale of the journey shape the experience before check-in.
Faraway Wednesday follows retreats where access cannot be separated from arrival, and where the distance travelled changes how the place is understood.
